God's Love Calls for a Response

When my Christian friend showed me that God, who created the universe, gave His Son Jesus to pay for my sins, I realized that only Jesus could give me eternal life.

How could I continue in my sin? It was sin that put Jesus on the cross. I asked myself, "What can I do?" The Bible book of Romans had the answer in chapter 2, verse 4 (NKJV). It says, "The goodness of God leads you to repentance." I saw that I could repent. To "repent" means to turn away from my sins and turn to Jesus Christ. I saw that if I would turn away from my sins and trust Jesus, God would forgive me and save me. And that is exactly what I did. After all, sin's pleasures were temporary and end in sorrow.

So I responded to God. I repented. I turned to Jesus, and I have never been sorry that I did, not even for a minute. And that is the only wise step for anyone to take: to repent of doing wrong. Then I invited Christ to come into my life and take control. He came into my life through His Holy Spirit.

Do you also realize that to experience God's love, you must repent, or turn away from your sins and ask for His forgiveness? Please check "yes" or "no".

Yes       No

If not, what do you believe you should do about your sins? Please write on the lines below how you will respond to God.
