God Loves You and Me and Has
Provided Forgiveness for our Sins
My Christian friend said, "That's
the good news! I remember when a friend told me about God's love
for me. The fact that God loved me made life
come together."
Here's what the book of Romans,
chapter 5, verse 8 (NKJV) says about God's love: "But God
demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still
sinners, Christ died for us."
But the most complete word
about God's love is in the book of John, chapter 3, verse 16
(NKJV): "For God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish
but have everlasting life." My friend said, "God loves
you, but your sins separate you from God. (Read Isaiah 59:1-2.)
He wants to forgive you and change your life. As a sinner, you
can come to God just as you are."
So, I ask you, Do you believe
and will you accept the Bible's promise that God's love for you
caused Jesus Christ to die for you? Please select "yes"
or "no".
What do you NOW honestly believe
about Christ's death and forgiveness? After thinking about God's
love for you, please write what you believe on the lines below.
It took Jesus' death on the cross and His resurrection to fulfill
God's plan of forgiveness for sin. The Bible book of Romans is
speaking of Jesus in Chapter 4, verse 25, (NIV) "He was
delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for
our justification." God resurrected Jesus from the dead.
In I Peter 3:18 (NIV) the Bible
says, "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous
for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death
in the body but made alive by the Spirit..."
And it is because of Jesus'
sacrifice he can say to sinful man, "...I am the way, the
truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through
me." This is found in the Bible book of John, chapter 14,
verse 6 (NIV).
Through Christ's death on the
cross you can find forgiveness for your sins.
